Significant advances in receiver design are occurring each year as developers integrate software with RF circuit design to produce receivers that allow superior measurement and analysis capability of AM, FM, TV and other RF transmitted signals. CTI, in coordination with select partners, is in the process of evaluating and testing receiver products, software, antenna systems and GPS for integration in measurement systems.

CTI specifies equipment and measurement procedures for taking field strength measurements and determining signal levels for a number of services including the Satellite Home Viewer Act ("SHVA").
